The truly gobsmacking thing about this is that, like the previous "bouncing balls" advert, everything you see was done for real on a housing estate in Glasgow, Scotland.
According to http://www.bravia-advert.com the paint,(All 70,000 litres of it.), took 60 people 5 days to clean up and was ,apparently, edible!...
Erratum: Although most of the special effects were physical rather than CGI, there was actually quite a bit of digital trickery involved too, which you can read about here.
